Happy Birthday Baby!

My son turned 16 yesterday and I can't believe how time has passed so quickly! He is so grown up! I've realized I'm having a harder time with him turning 16 then me turning 39+1 this summer !!! I sometimes wish I could turn back time and make him little again, back to the time when I still hung the moon.  Don't get me wrong he still thinks I'm cool. He even hugs me and tells me he loves me in front of his friends. I know, impressive. He is an amazing kid and I feel so lucky to say he's mine! I hope we are always close.

I love you and you will always be my Baby!

Once Upon A Dream A Prairie Fairytale Event=One Lucky Girl

My Shabby Girlie Christmas Tree

I know this is a little late but things have been so busy that it has taken becoming ill to slow me down. Since I'm banished from work, boss' orders, I'm catching up on my blogging.

I just wanted to share my craft room Christmas tree. My hubby and son think it's crazy that I have a Christmas tree for my craft room, but where would I hang all my vintage mercury glass and Shiny Bright ornaments!?

I love pink, aqua, cream and glitter on my little white tree. I'm still looking for the perfect little tree topper, preferable vintage pink mercury glass!!!

Vintage Vacation Swap with Kristi

Here are the lovely items my friend Kristi from Creative Pursuits sent to me for The Vintage Vacation Swap we participated in.

Swap Reveal

Or I should really say YEAH ME!!!!

These are the lovely boxes I received from my swap partners in the Paris Petite Inspiration Box Swap. I'm going to have so much fun playing with all the goodies I received. I have so many fabulous ideas swirling around in my head.


First up is wonderful Jeanne from Dream, Create, Inspire http://www.jeanneszewczyk.com/


She is such a sweet and patient swapper. The box that I sent her ended up getting lost in the mail but was returned to me. Thankfully it finally made its way to her.


My box from Jeanne was just precious in pinks and creams, wrapped in tulle and millinery flowers. It was stuffed with so many adorable items.


The postcard is also going on my inspiration board, Elyse!




Next up is lovely Elyse from Cottage http://www.tinkeredtreasures.blogspot.com/

She is so adorable. She made a double decker box with with aqua ribbon and a sweet little aqua flower covered in french dictionary pages.


Elyse stuffed both boxes with such beautiful goodies.



I feel so privileged to have been partnered with such amazing and talented women! The boxes they sent were made as if they had known me for years. I feel lucky to have made two new friends! Hopefully we can swap again!!!!! Thank you Heather for hosting such an amazing swap!

Memories

When I was a little girl my Papa bought Bradley dolls for me. I adored them. I was always so excited when he gave me a new one. Unfortunately, they were all destroyed. The love for these dolls was renewed when I found one at a antique mall for $2.00. I was so excited, all the happy memories came flooding back. I love the detail of their faces and the beautiful outfits they wear. They are so pretty.

My friend Jenny from http://www.theredbulletinboard.blogspot.com/ bought this pretty one for me. Jenny is the best!

My family and friends now keep an eye out for them. Thank you. They bring back so many wonderful memories of Papa and help me to not miss him so much.

I got this one from my hubby for Christmas. It's so me! Trust me, I have alot of junk. My hubby says, I have alot of junk in my trunk too! hehe

I ordered this one a couple of weeks ago, I think it's my favorite.

There are so many things I like, I don't know what I'm going to order next! By the way if you friend them on Facebook every Friday in March they are giving great deals!! Make sure you check them out. Let me know what you think!

Can't wait until I feel like this again.....

I just pulled up my blog and realized how long it had been! Pathetic! Since I'm home sick,with the flu and bronchitis, there's no excuse. I've made blogging feel like a chore instead of being fun. So I'm going to try this again. I plan on trying to blog at least twice a month (I've made myself reminders). I've been working on a lot of projects and I can't wait to share them. I've redone my craft room, need to finish cleaning it. New pics coming soon. Happy Monday! Hope everyone has a great week!

Craft Night with Jenny!!!!

It's been a few weeks since my friend Jenny came over for craft night. We had such a blast. It's amazing how much we have in common. She's the only one of my friends that enjoys crafting . My other friends think I'm a little crazy when I talk about old lace, buttons, glitter, and how I could use it in my next project. Jenny also brought me the cutest little chicks and shared some of her wonderful goodies. Isn't this wrapping paper, that she brought me, so adorable. We have decided to try to do this on a regular basis. Can't wait for our next craft night.

My very first blog

Hi, my name is Rebecca and this is my very first post. I still have alot to learn, it's a little confusing?! Please be patient with me. I'll start by explaining how I got the name for my blog. I owe it all to my teenage son, Devin. He has dubbed my craft room, the pink girlie room. The room is so pink and frou frou, he says he loses cool points for just stepping foot into it. It's my little slice of pink heaven and I lose all track of time when I step in there. It's my safe haven for all my wonderful vintage goodies. As I've tried to explained to my wonderful husband, a girl can never have enough glitter, ribbons, flowers, or buttons. He just doesn't understand that I can get so excited over a button. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I'll add pics with my blog once I figure out how to. If anyone has some tips please send them my way. Thanks
